CaseBinder checklist
I-751 evidence organizer checklist
For conditional permanent residents preparing a private evidence binder, the work is often less about collecting one perfect document and more about keeping relationship evidence, dates, notes, photos, and PDFs organized.
Important boundary. This page is not legal advice. CaseBinder does not decide what evidence is enough, does not prepare or submit USCIS filings, does not represent a government agency, and does not guarantee approval or any immigration outcome.
1. Build Categories Before Adding Files
- Joint residence and household records
- Joint financial records
- Insurance, benefits, taxes, and beneficiary records
- Relationship photos by date range or event
- Travel, visits, family events, and shared responsibilities
- Affidavits or support letters, if you choose to include them
- RFE or notice response sections, if applicable
2. Add Dates and Short Factual Notes
For photos and documents, short notes can help you remember who appears in a photo, where an event happened, which month a statement covers, or why a document belongs in a category. Keep notes factual and avoid writing legal conclusions into the packet.
3. Keep a Working Set and an Export Set
Not every draft photo, duplicate statement, or rough note belongs in the final packet. Mark what is included and what is excluded before exporting a PDF for review.
4. Watch File Size and Privacy
I-751 evidence can include private addresses, account information, tax records, travel records, and relationship photos. Review every export before sharing, and check official upload or mailing instructions for file-size and format limits.
5. Use Official Instructions First
Before filing or responding to a notice, check the current USCIS Form I-751 page, form instructions, filing guidance, and any notice you personally received. CaseBinder only helps with local organization.
